Analytical Study of Imam Qastalani's Circumstances and Influences

Abstract
Ahmad bin Muhammad Qastalani was born in Cairo on January 19, 12 Dhul-Qa'd 851 AH. He was Shafi'i ul-Maslik. He was a great scholar of Qirat, Hadith, Fiqh and Seerah. He spent his whole life in Egypt in preaching and spreading Islam. A large number of people participated in his sermons. He recited the Holy Quran very melodiously. When he used to recite the Holy Quran in the mihrab, people would fall down due to humility and crying. His scholarly and authorial services are very valuable. Two of his works named as Irshad ul-Saari Sharah Sahih al-Bukhari and Al-Mawahib ul-Ludniya have gained a lot of popularity. Among his other works are Lataif ul-Isharat fi Funun al-Qiraat, Fath ul-Dani fi Sharah Harz ul-Amani, Tuhfat ul-Saamy wal-Qari, Al-Is’aad fi Talkhis ul-Irshaad, Nafais ul-Infas fi Suhbah wal-Libas, Luwa’am ul-Anwaar fi al-Ad’iyyah wal-Azkar and many other works are included. Thanks to these valuable academic and literary services, he is considered among the famous and best scholars of his time. Allama Qastalani died on Friday 8 Muharram 923 AH and was buried in Madrasa Aini near Jamia Al Azhar.
