Abstract

Terrorism is a global problem that affects all nations equally. This factor has a profound impact on the socio-political life of developing countries, as well as it effects their literary thought too. After the 9/11 incident, this problem has properly been aroused. Urdu fiction has the distinction that it has adopted the major issues of every era as its subject matter. Terrorism is also such a big problem which Urdu fiction writers have used as a subject in their short stories to reflect the general global degradation on the one hand and on the other hand to reflect the intellectual and practical decline of the nations which directly affected by this problem. The paper under review presents a thematic study of the short stories of 21st century’s selected fiction writers regarding terrorism.
