Abstract

From the beginning of life on the earth, the praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) continues in every language of the world.  This series of praises goes through major languages, ​​such as Syriac, Hebrew, Arabic and Persian, and reaches to the Urdu since the beginning of it. Naat was not only written in every genre of Urdu language, but the distinctions and standards of the language of Naat were also set. The different forms of Urdu Naat were also studied, as well as the Arabic and Persian allusions and methods used in Urdu Naat were also discussed. In this research article, a brief overview of the Phonological study of Pakistani Urdu Naat has been taken. The study of sounds in a particular language is called phonology. In linguistic analysis, the sounds of the text are studied. Naat is an important poetry genre of Urdu language, almost every notable poet has written Naat. In this article, a brief review of Urdu Naat has been made in the context of phonology. Different sounds have been marked in the selected Naat’s of Urdu and these sounds have also been analyzed. The authors have also discussed necessary points of Al-Bayan and Al-Badi'.
