Abstract

It is one important objective of the study of history and helps secure and facilitate humanity’s safe journey towards the future. Historians like Jeremi Suri and Graham Allison advocate for the practical application of historical perspectives to enhance decision-making processes. This article explores theoretical frameworks, case studies, challenges, and opportunities within applied history. It highlights interdisciplinary collaboration, emerging trends, and recommendations for integrating historical insights into diverse fields. By leveraging historical knowledge, applied history facilitates critical thinking, problem-solving, and scenario planning, contributing to more effective strategies in an evolving global landscape. The study emphasizes the significance of historical understanding in navigating complexities and fostering informed decision-making rooted in historical context.
