Abstract

Javed Akhter Bhatti is one of the well-known local writers of South Punjab. He was born on February 2, 1958 in a landed family of Multan. He studied up to matriculation and started his creative journey with fiction writing. With his creations, he proved that art does not require academic degrees.  Along with being a columnist, personality writer, fiction writer, critic, research is also an important aspect of his literary life. As a researcher with deep insight, he explored the lost corners of Urdu literature. Starting with the linguistic discussion “Urdu-Hindi A Historical Review”, and then “ Joibar”, “ Ikhwan Al-Safa”, “Urdu Translations of Gitta” , “The concept of Slavery” and open the chapter of new dimensions regarding Farid’s knowledge “ Urdu Poetry of Khawaja Fareed” are capitals in the field of research. He has proved himself as an epoch-making researcher by uncovering historical corners in linguistics, journalism, philosophy, religion and personalities.
